Flush

Flush is about two kids named Noah and Abbey Underwood. Their dad has just been arrested for sinking the Coral Queen. A gambling ship that is owned by a scrooge-like man named Dusty Muleman. Paine, Abbey, and Noah's dad had a problem with anger management, but at the same time he's a caring father. He is married to Donna who is their mom. Paine had sunk the boat because he believed that Dusty was dumping poop in the water. Which is gross and unhealthy. Since Noah and Abbey wanted to prove their father right they snuck off and almost got hurt by Luno Dusty's assistant. Later Abbey went by herself onto the boat late at night. Everybody in the family was scared that Abbey had run away. She was safe by 1:00 in the morning. Abbey came back with a video camera of blurry images. Not useful. The most daring adventure Noah or Abbey had ever done came in the next couple days. To prove their dad right they flushed down tube after tube of purple food coloring. The next day all of the water surrounding the Coral Queen was purple. They had proved Paine right.

Half Moon

Since I have been reading a lot about mysteries lately and have been enjoying them, I decided to read a book called "Half Moon". This book is about Fletcher Moon, and his amazing investigations. Fletcher, or Half Moon is 12 years old and lives with his parents in a small town. The town inhabited the Sharkeys. A family that would steal anything. If anything was wrong people would blame the Sharkeys. Not only did Herod and Red Sharkey tease him they..... well let me start from the beggining. One dark nigh at 12:00 sharp, Fletcher was brutely attacked and wounded. The next morning he woke up in the hospital with a cast and a nose splint. Fletcher's mom nearly lost her mind. "Why would someone attack a sweat boy outside, .... you went outside, in the middle of the night!". Later as sergant Murt was figuring out this whole attacking thing Red pulled fletcher faster than Murt could turn his back. Why would Red do this he's a bully? Red had a plan to figure out who did this and some other less importantant crimes. Fletcher and Red became partners and together they hoped to solve mysteries. What will happen at the end? Well, read next weeks.

Reading Response

For tonights reading response I decided to list all of the characters I know from the book "Cover Up". In addition I will write two-three sentances about them.
Stevie: Stevie, a fourtien year old boy who writes in the newspaper for the Washington National, finds himself in one of the biggest cover ups of all time. Stevie was brought in to all of this because of an essay he wrote that won a seat in the March Madness championship game. But now he works for CBS the news station.
Susan Carol: Susan Carol, who is also 14, is an amazing sports page writer. She and Stevie work together in amazing mysterys. Susan Carol was the other essay winner.
Bobby Keiler: One of Stevie's good friends that writes articles in the sports page. Keiler had told Stevie the danger of t.v people, and had been right. He is married to Mearns.
Kamara Mearns: Kamara is one of Stevies friends who gives him meaningful advice on what to do next.
Eddy Brennan: Eddy is the Dreams starting quarterback. Beyond his ability to play football he was a good friend.
Don Meeker: He is the Dreams coach. The meanest and grumpiest man you'll ever meet. He is doing the cover up.
Dr. Snow: Dr. Snow is one of the doctors of the Dreams. He knows all about the cover up but won't give Stevie and Susan Carol the documents they need.

Reading Response

"Cover Up" is an amazing sport, and mystery novel filled with action and the life of two 14 year old kids. Stevie and Susan Carol. "Cover Up", written by John Feinsein is the sequal to "Last Shot". Also a mystery book. In the beggining of the book Stevie is fired from a t.v show. This became a huge conspiracy, basicly he became famous. Every body knew him, even the stars. Meanwhile Susan Carol was furious about all of this. She wanted to quit but her parents had a problem of their own. They needed the money. The owner of USTV had offered Susan Carol a lot of money. Her knew partner would be a six foot celebrity named Jamie Whinsitt. Both of their jobs would bring them to the super bowl. Stevie working with CBS and Susan Carol working with USTV. After interviewing the star quarterback of the Dreams, they found out something that nobody was supposed to. Five of the offensive lineman were tested high for steroids. The doctor, Dr. Snow will refuse to tell them anything about the cover up. He also is telling people that Stevie and Susan Carol blackmailed him. What will they do? Will Meeker keep his cover up secret? Will the dreams still play the super bowl? Find out next week when I reveal what will happen.
